What you are reading in the email may not be where it is going to take you. Once you click, they know that your email address is "alive" and you will get more emails.
I always look at who it is addressed, if it does not have my (registered) name, then it is a phish. Forward the suspect email to Spoof@eBay.com and they will respond with an answer as to the authenticity. ( spoof@PayPal.com also works)
