Bob,
As I read your postings, the real problem you have is with David, Barry and Jerry Wall. Why on earth are you dragging others into it? It's already been shown that your facts about the reception and who attended it weren't correct. So what if the two of them decided to do something else that evening? They weren't officers yet. Granted, it would have looked better if they'd been there, but I know of several people who decided to do something else that night.
Chip transactions take place every day. Some bigger than others. There was at least one other "hospitality suite" open in the days before the show opened. Why aren't you crying foul at that? I don't understand why it matters to you or anyone else who was buying or selling before the show or why you'd make such a big deal about tables. For crying out loud, it's done and over with, let it go. The past can't be changed.
It does sound as if you're questioning Wayne's integrity and I have to ask why you're doing so. He's one of the most honest, forthright people I know. I don't always agree with him, nor he with me, but I'd never even think about challenging his honesty. As for him being in the dark, the convention is his baby, he's responsible for it. I don't for one moment believe he's being micro-managed by the board or being played for a fool. (Which IS what you implied in the last sentence of your post.)
Please, Bob, if you have a problem with the current Board of Officers, take it to them in private e-mails or even better, write a letter to the editor so the entire membership can see it. I implore you to stop bringing up old, dead issues and spreading conspiracy theories all over the bb. They only serve to alienate people and ultimately hurt the hobby.
