Hi Rich,
The information I have is, incoming elected officials David, Barry and Nate were involved in a private room buying session with Jerry during the convention reception. It could easily have been an innocent private meeting of friends. That stuff happens at every chip show and convention. The timing of this meeting troubles me, given the people involved.
I brought up the table switch shortly after I got home from the convention. David had the corner table listed in the convention program that ended up being Jerry's table. Wayne, at that time said everything was on the up-and-up, properly reqested and appoved. I wondered if there was more to this at the time, but not knowing that there was any motivation other than David being a nice guy to trade his more desirable corner table to Jerry, I let it drop. Having first shot at the liquidation of one of the (if not THE) largest Nevada chip collections in the world is another story altogether.
It looks like some priorities were influenced concerning where some of the elected officials should have been, and weren't. It appears to me to be a very bad judgement call made by those involved.
