I'm sorry to say I haven't yet met Alicia as she works in another section of the paper and during a different shift. But those at The Chronicle I've talked to who have gotten to know her have uniformly reported that she is a wonderful person with whom they have really enjoyed working.
I have read her stories and heartily recommend following the link Steve posted. I think everyone will get something from reading her stories, and especially those who have had experience with cancer in their own families.
A good thing that will come of Alicia writing publicly about her illness is I have no doubt she will be in many, many prayers, not only those of Chipboard readers, but from the hundreds of thousands of readers of The Chronicle, including the many who now read it all over the world on the Internet.
