Yeah, I know, it's a charity thing for the building fund - THE SECOND I LAND MY NEW JOB, the "check will be in the mail", promise!
Regarding the RFID chips at Wynn: my sources tell me that the entire rack was provided to Wynn for FREE (nada, nothing, no-how), and that the entire rack is RFID equipped. I can tell you this much; when I cashed-out $46 at the cage, the cashier made sure my chips were in the middle of the glass platform, and then checked his monitor before telling me the value of my small stack of chips! I asked, "Oh, is that telling you how much my chips are worth?" to which he responded, "Yes, Sir!".
Counterpoint; Trimble may be right, as it appears Wynn is only looking at the RFID system as a security buffer against counterfeiters (just like the UV pattern, and the Microdot - the UV pattern is on all chips, the Microdot on $25 and up). The lesser chips DO, however, sport the UV "WYNN" wallpaper...
The only way to solve this mystery once and for all, is for somebody to bust-open one of their Wynn $5's, or $3Poker, $2Poker, or $1 house chips, or run it through a security checkpoint and tell us whats in the middle!
