Just a minor correction Brian, It's actually Colony Capital that owns Resorts Tunica as well as Resorts East Chicago and of course the original Resorts in Atlantic City. They also own Bally's Tunica and the Hiltons in Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
BTW, Does anyone know how long Colony Capital has the rights to the Bally's Tunica name before they will have to change it since the Bally's brand is still owned by Caesars Entertainment.
As far as an answer to your question about the 25¢ chip, I can't say if it did or did not indeed exist because I don't live in Tunica nor do I collect Mississippi chips but I would have to guess that no it probably didn't exist because why would Harrah's spend so much money having a chip produced while it is in the process of selling the property and then have to turn around have have them sent back for destruction.
