Marv,
Thanks for your note. Even if I do not agree with you doesn't mean you don't raise some valid points. The points you raise, in my opinion, do not encourage the concepts of what I belive a BB to be.
All BBs including Greg's fine board allow for the purest form of free speech. Very early I had criticism for dealers who posted their items for sale here on Greg's board. I was wrong and said so. The reason was I violated my own concept, by telling, suggesting or whatever anyone would call it, not to use Greg's board as some type of avenue for selling. If I really believe BBs are the purest form of free speech how could I tell anyone what they should or shouldn't post.
I believe anyone can post anything they wish so long as it is fit for individuals of all ages to read and isn't slander or libel. This obviously would exclude some of Kelly's E-Mail posts.<g>
You and I can disagree. That's what these boards are all about - saying what we belive, feel, think, etc. etc., in my opinion, is all right. I hope this is your opinion as well. I'm sure you realize I am going to continue to do what I belive is the best way to help preserve a part of chipping history that is important to me. I know you believe I am not correct in attempting to get people to subscribe to Prodigy. Your opinion is fine with me and I respect it.
I obviously am not going to change your opinion and you will not change mine. Therefore, if it is all right with you I just as soon not debate this subject since neither you nor I are going to change our position. In addition, you wrote a research book that you sell. I choose not to sell anything I research. This does not make either one of us right or wrong. Just different ways of doing things. Kinda like what I am doing - a different approach to help save a board I care about. Thanks for reading, Best - Jim
