...but the most important piece of equipment to get is TiVo (or equivalent). To me it's hands down the best invention of this century so far. For most people who don't have it, the attitude is "What do I need another box for... I already have a VCR." For people who DO have it, the attitude is "How did I live without this for so many years?"
