When did Casinos in Las Vegas drift from generic wheel chips to ones with their names on them. Here is a photo from a 1953 magazine article with a shot at the El Rancho Vegas and the thing that caught my eye was the generic inlaid "Four leaf clover" chips at the roulette table.... not the fact that there was just another Dizzy Palomino nosing up to the table.
