I was just wondering if anyone here on the board has ever had ear surgery to improve their hearing? (I'm not talking about hearing aids)

I'm going in for surgery in the morning to improve my hearing in my right ear. I have lost close to 40% in my right ear and work in the casino industry as it is a vital part of my job (Craps Supervisor). I'm hoping to get to the NE Chipper's meeting this Sunday as long as everything is ok with no side-effects.
