Terry,
I have read and re-read the posts involving the Stork Club chips. Neither Dick Price nor I commented upon YOUR honesty, integrity or business practices. My only comment involved you not obtaining ALL the chips in the initial find and how this leads to price manipulation BY OTHERS!!!! This to me is a judgement mistake. It does not involve honesty, integrity or an explanation by you.
My friend Dick Price was not talking about you. He was refering to other individuals who are under cutting YOU and the price you sell these chips at. I can understand why you would be sensitive but after all since when can't any of us learn from our mistakes? Why must mistakes be hidden in the form of emails so others cannot learn from them? You are not less of a person because someone else undercuts some of the material you sell.
You have always been a BIG person when it comes to mistakes. Your mistake was not buying the "find" in total. You did nothing wrong. To my knowledge you didn't cheat anyone, lie to anyone or try to take advantage. Why all of a sudden this public display of "poor little ole me"???
This is not the first time a purchase you were involved with went bad. It will not be the last.<g> I am sure when the dust settles and you have a little time to think about it, you will be able to seperate your friends from those who you claim are jealous. I know Dick Price a long time, ever since I have been involved with collecting, he is not the jealous type. He is upset. I am upset. Why, because the same Northern Nevada individuals are always involved in the undercut. You live in PA. not Northern Nevada. Why do you feel you have to defend anything you have done???
I purchased the Ore House chips from you. I DID NOT ASK FOR A REFUND OR CREDIT. I understand how difficult it is when one gets taken in a purchase. I did not try to make it difficult for you.
I do ask for one favor. PLEASE slow down and read the posts carefully. You will see no one was pointing the finger at you. I hope you enjoy New Orleans. It is one of my favorite towns. Best, Jim
