I was in just a little before the lottery.
I quit college in 1968 at 19 and got my draft notice when I was in basic training for the Air Force in March 1969.
I spent 4 years '69 to '73 but was lucky to have been stationed state-side.
My 4 years was up about a couple of weeks before the "war" ended.
