Bob & Andy-
I am not inclined to release a copy of the contract we have with the Tropicana. I don't think it would serve any purpose that would benefit the Club. In addition if I send out the copies to you how many more are going to request copies and I would rather not go to the expense of copying it and payng the postage to a potentially large group of people when the contract is done and nothing can be changed.
My other consideration is that some members of this board have spent a week or more arguing over 99¢. I really don't care to have everyone second guessing the decisions that were made because then I will have to go back and provide the basis and thought for each. The Convention takes up a tremendous amount of time and it really is a no win situation for me. If we lose money I'll get criticized, if we make too much money then some dealers will complain the table rates were too high and some members will complain we didn't have enough food at the buffet. I can't win even with a success Convention. I hope you understand why I don't want to release the contract. Obviously the Board can override my decision but I would strongly encourage them not too. Thanks.
