I just don't get it as to being "doomed".
They are not perfect...nothing is...but they do the biz better than anyone else.
I have been selling off a lifetime of collectibles since 2001. I am 51 years old but started collecting early (Age 6). I still have much to get rid of.
Had I lined up an auctioneer and scheduled sales for every weekend during the summer I really don't believe I would have realized the gains that Ebay was able to provide.
I just don't understand the constant bashing of Ebay...I have assembled impressive collections because of buying on Ebay. I seriously doubt, heck, I know I could have never done anything even remotely close by doing it the old fashioned way. That being going to shows, scrounging junk stores, etc. Not that I do not do that but it is not near as productive as buying online.
AS to your statement that "I don't have the right to b*tch"...I am not...Until someone invents a better selling venue...I'm staying where I am at.
