I have no actual historical artifacts from the period, and no witnesses. I only have logic in my defense. I would presume there was a year one. Counting usually does not begin with 2 or 3. Any months on the calendar begin with a number other than 1? Can anyone give a good logical reason for the first year to have been numbered zero? Name one other example of society of 2000 years ago numbering things starting with zero and I'll conceed that the fist year might have been year zero.
