Ralph, I have to agree with Andy on this one, though I have no definitive proof. If the "error" chip image was flipped after artwork approval of the correct version, when filming and producing the inlays by Paulson, then the "$25", "Ltd 100" and Tropicana logo should be backwards too. If the clock image ONLY was reversed, then perhaps it could have slipped through all the approvers and checkers, but since the "Millennium" wording was also backwards, and it REALLY stands out with just a glance, then I think it's more likely that the error was intentional. Something to offer the specialty error collectors, perhaps.

If authoritative documentation is produced at some point, which shows this to be an unintentional error that slipped though the whole design, approval, manufacturing and shipping process, then I'll change my opinion. Till then, consider me skeptical.

[In contrast, I think the first edition of the Imperial Palace "20th Anniversary" Limited Edition chip, with edition misspelled as "EDITON" was a true oversight that was undiscovered until it was issued, and then a corrected edition was issued. Errors do happen, but errors as obvious as the Trop Millennium $25???]
