Although no one bothered to ask the question, I'll offer the answer anyway. The agreement with the Trop is to issue a $5 chip with a 2000 edition. There has been no discussion about a higher dollar chip.

One thing everyone is overlooking. The Trop can not use the Club name or logo without our permission. They have no right to arbitrarily issue chips in the Club name.

Steve Cutler may make the decisions regarding the chips the Trop issues and that is a business decision between him and the Trop management. Steve has not pushed to do anything regarding the chips for the Convention. The only thing Steve has pushed has been for the Club to provide him the artwork so he can put up a sign in the Museum to promote our Convention. He did the same thing last year (even though the Convention was at a competing hotel) at his own expense.

Take issue with the Trop's chip policy, but please do not bring the Convention into the battle.
