The Fiesta has issued three new LE's this year aimed totaly at chip collectors.

KY Derby

They have also issued 6 chips for baseball card shows. The players on the chips appeared at the Fiesta to sign autographs. Although some collectors take these chips not all Fiesta LE collectors take them. Many are taken by baseball memorbilla collectors and dealers. I think this will eventually expand our hobby.

If you count all 9 chips in 11 months, it comes to 1 every 37 days.
I suggest you divide out the chips issued by 3 other properties and I bet you come up with something like 1 every 7 or 8 days, maybe lower.

I agree, there are too many LE chips being issued. I prided my collection as having every $5 LE ever issued in LV. I can no longer say that. I passed when 41 chips were issued at 3 properties in 2 days. The $25's and $100's do not bother me, as I do not collect them.

I say it is wrong to knock any collectors collecting habits. We all must deside what we are willing to collect. AND, yes, LE's are still drawing many new collectors to our hobby. I get emails and phone calls every week from new collectors that want information on an LE they found, and thought "What a great hobby." Some will stick with LE's and some will advance to obsoletes and some will drop out. Let it happen!!!!

To all that posted in this thread, I will not knock what you collect. I would hope that you do not knock what others collect. They could be driven from this hobby before they realize, what it is all about.

I think I will take another fork in me on this thread. You guys are the ones harming the hobby, with derogatory posts on other collectors, collecting habits.
