John, Katie, Gene, etc... Limited Edition has nothing to do with numbers produced.... it's a matter of semantics. According to at least one A.C. casino, "Limited Edition" means limited to that year. If a particular perfomer is coming back for another engagement later on in the year.... they have reissued the same LE chip.... although not recently.
