Don: OK... explanation sounds plausible .... but I guess it doesn't answer my question.... which is: Why do some scans submitted by several otherwise accomplished knowledgeable chippers, using different equipment, look like they have a sheet of waxed paper over them? I've read comments on this bb by other chippers who are experiencing the same condition.
