I started my annual pilgrimage to Atlantic City in 1988 just after I turned 21 and I remember the first time waiting in the Showboat's lobby waiting for the doors to the casino to open up and that happened for a few more years but what I can't remember is what year the casinos officially went to a 24 hours operation.
