As I pointed out at the time, I immediately conceded the fact that genuine oversize sports book chips existed and I altered a few words accordingly.
However, your initial post also queried the fact that any fakes of these existed at all. Later you confirmed the only ones you had seen since the casino closed were of the type I had shown, and that they may or may not have got mixed together with the real ones. In between, in the course of a separate discussion, you made the point that re-manufactured chips would likely differ from real ones in some respect.
Do you agree that the two chips I showed were re-manufactured by BJ for Carl Osborne (these specific examples I showed were obtained from Janice O'Neal who had purchased them from Jerry Wall I believe some 14 years ago)?
I agree no such chips in different designs have surfaced, and that no-one can recall exactly what the live chips looked like. Is it not possible that all the live chips were destroyed and none got out. Maybe they lurk in some building foundations somewhere I guess its doubtful any collectors in 1987 would have held onto these chips if they had paid face for them.
Maybe the question to ask is 'does anyone have a $500 or $1000 that they have had in their possession since before 1989?'
