Re: James Bond Chips on eBay (again!)

Hi Jim,

Have you seen on E-bay?

Item #44233623

Another set of only 2 chips starting bid at $35. No bids yet

Item #44181550

Another set with a starting bid of $9.99 now at $26 Already bid on 4 times

The lot you mention here: Item #43519681

Has a reserve amount on it and has received bids up to $51.03 and the reserve is still not met. I just wonder where this person has the reserve at. And the picture on this lot is very misleading since the picture is terrible and the chip colors and insert colors are definately different than the scans on the other auctions as well as the center designs totally missing in this photo. Looks like "only collectors in the know" would even know that the chips are the same ones. Could it be the bidders think the are different than those Bob has pictured?

Anyone can manufacture whatever authentication they want on computers these days. I just hope this person answers your message. Would be nice to authenticate the authentication.

Funny how people will bid on these at any price. I hope that they are seeing Bob Mera's auctions and descriptions.

I still see one seller on E-Bay who continues to describe a CURRENT SPT as RARE just because he/she is the only one who is selling that particular token on E-Bay.

I think some people just don't like being out bid by someone else even if an item is common. Or they believe everything that they read in the descriptions as gospel.
