Just got off the phone with Bob about five minutes ago. He spirits seemed high and upbeat. Bob told me that he may even go home by this weekend. The last rounds of testing done showed no signs of luekemia according to the latest reports from Bob's doctors. The bone marrow transplant seems to be taking hold. Bob explained that everything was killed before receiving the marrow transplant from his brother (a 100% match) and that his brother's bone marrow is now regenerating in Bob's body and none of Bob's original bone marrow is present. So I've got a new nick name for Bob..... it's now "Dolly" like the cloned sheep! <g> Bob now has to be concerned with the next 8 to 10 weeks for any sign of bone marrow rejection... but he indicated that he may even be allowed to attend the A.C. Chapter Meeting next month. Great news that I'm pleased to share with all of you.
