You can download an EXCELLENT sharware program to manage your image files, convert them, resize them, etc., from:

www.compupic.com

Most chip images when scanned at 100 dpi and converted to a jpg file at 80% or so will yield a 13,000 - 20,000 byte file. A file the size you mentioned would take most people 30 minutes or so to view with a modem.
