Common mistake, but easily corrected. Turks originally hail from the steppes of Central Asia (think the Huns, of Attila fame, the Kirghiz, the Seljuks, who withstood the Crusades, and the Oghuz, who founded the Ottoman Empire).There still are many Turkic countries in Asia: Kazahkstan, Turkistan, Kirghizistan, to name a few. No relation to Arabs except cultural and religious influence as Turks moved in. Arabs probably did not have much love for Turks due to the Ottoman dominion, and preferred the British imperialism, resulting in today's chaos.
