Didn't you see the-mini series DEADWOOD on HBO. The Wild Bill Hickok character played poker with "ivory" chips. As I recall there was a flower and a $5 that I recognized. I actually emailed HBO about the chips. They told me they were fake ivories.

Obviously I don't have the slightest idea where the chips I have up for trade were used. I was just trying to make the point that when Deadwood was first founded, ivory chips were in play. Duh!
