In general, (and I don't know of an exception but there might be one or two) goods sold on the Internet (mail order Etc.) are payed for in advance and delivered after that payment.

Heck, people have shipped me chips and I mailed a check later. I've sold to folks from the BB and they mailed me a check weeks later. I agree with you on that.
