These 6 fake Borlands also exist with no cross-hatching. Again we were led to believe that only 4 or 5 of each were made but who knows?? These were some of the first chips Dave Whalen made, along with his then 'partner', Bill Eichorn. Subsequently Dave made others with various degrees of cross hatching whilst 'perfecting his technique'. These chips were experiments and NOT made for re-sale. After Dave and Bill went there separate ways, Bill was left with blanks. How many..who knows?

Plenty other crude fake fakes have been made, but these I have shown are of sufficient quality that an unsuspecting collector might easily think they are right. The same goes for the ones Heppler is selling. He could well have quantities of the ones I have pictured as well.
