I didn't want to reply to the Pro-Chargers posts that were made leading up to the playoffs but now is a good time for my comments...
When my favorite KC Chiefs got Schottenheimer, no one was more happy than myself. Those Clevland fans were like, "ya... he will get you to the playoffs, but he will break your heart every year".
Heck, I was just happy to have a competative team and make the playoffs. Well... they were right... He did get us there almost every year and yes he broke our heart every year. One year he went with a bad kicker all year and I knew it would haunt us... and sure enough our kicker missed THREE field goals in a first round playoff playoff loss to Indy (10 vs 7) when we had home field advantage all thoughout the playoffs. I still have unused tickets to the AFC Championship game somewhere . Then again the next year we lose to Denver during first round again with home field advantage all throughout the playoffs. He had horrible special teams and yet would never fire his brother who was special team coach.
Good Luck San Diego! (I am rooting for history to continue to repeat itself!)
