I didn't pick this one, Bob, but this (fill in the blank with your personally preferred pejorative appellation so I don't run afoul of Greg's bad word filter) flat out lied in a statement he made about me in an earlier disputatious thread.

To be precise, he said:

The very next day (August 28th), I posted a response in which I challenged him to:

I have since, on several occasions, repeated the challenge. Stewby has never provided proof that I made such a threat. Nor has he admitted that I never did any such thing. In fact, he has never directly replied to the challenge at all.

Interestingly enough, on August 28th, Doug Smith posted a message in which he stated that he had put Stewby on his personal "do not trade list". It is at:

All Stewball had to do was say he was mistaken and that I never made any such threat. That, however, would take a measure of personal integrity and character which he apparently lacks.

Calling me a "moron or French" for political reasons, or disparaging my legal opinions, both of which he also did, I can handle easily. I don't even care that he "despises me" because I'm a "simple jerk". I've been called worse by better men, with more reason.

But his statements about the "good old boy" clique in the club and the claim that I supposedly threatened him with a "top secret do not trade list" falsely impugned my integrity within the hobby. On this issue, I will not lighten up.

Sorry, my friend, if you took offense. BTW, I enjoyed our thread about the Kursaal Oostende plaques way more than this one.
