If everything tanked to two cents a share Monday morning, I wouldn't be looking for a window jump out of.

I have some money in the bank just sitting around getting bored so I thought I'd take some of it for a walk. I funded my Scottrade account with (Yo!) $11,000 to start. That certainly doesn't make me a market mogul, nor is it enough to begin thinking about becoming an active day-trader. I'm not getting into this thinking I'll make money on every investment (tho' that'd be nice), but I think if I pay attention, I should be able to make the money grow faster than it would sitting in CD's. If I have a level of success, great! And if I see something that would require more cash into my account, I can do that too.
