Re: More Molds... Distributor Identified!
In Response To: Re: More Molds...Asian ()

Hey Dr. Myers, Gene and Janice,

I received an e-mail from a fellow collector, (that wishes to remain anonymous), with the following information about this mold. The individual writes:

'I had a meeting this afternoon with the distributor of the Barona $1 chip. The Distributor is:

K.P.Gaming Supplies in Riverside, CA.

It is a Private Native American Owned Business and supplies many of the Calif. and West Coast Indian Casinos.

K.P.Gaming Supplies controls the "suits" mold and had the actual production done at Atlantic Standard. It took them three tries to get the green color right to match the existing chips.

A whole new Borona rack is still planned in the future as we have been hearing and its purpose is to go to the LV type colors for the chips i.e.: Black 100, Green 25, Red 5, white 1. The design will be the flag type inlay somewhat like what they have now but different graphics and lettering and new chip colors. K.P.Gaming Supplies is supplying Barona this new rack also.'

So, there you have it - the mold is "Suits".

The individual did not offer the time frame in which this change in the house rack will take place...

Dick
