I think Sammy Wright owned it for quite some time, but not sure how far back.
I would bet the liquor license was not in his name, maybe his wife's name. Sammy was a freelance muscle for hire. He was known for using a baseball bat across the kneecaps. Would have had too many arrests to get a liquor license.
I would think the liquor license records would be available to the public.
