I didnt believe it either but:

The small crates hold 54 packets of 4 tomatoes (3 x 6 x 3 high). The crates stack 20 high in the container.

A 40 foot container will hold 29 crates x 4 crates

In total thats 29 x 4 x 20 high x 54 packs. Total 125280 packs. at 1.5LB each thats 187920LB = 83.89 tons.
