Sounds like an issue I am going to enjoy.. hope it gets here soon.. is it too soon to say anything about issue #3 not arriving yet?

The difference between the 2 issues is the surface of the chips.. it is a matte surface on the 97 issue and kind of semi-gloss on the 2002 chips. The UV security mark is also larger on the 2002 chips.

There is a note about the differences on pg 384 of TCR #10. Maybe in TCR #11 they will change the references in the note from 1977 to 1997 to correct the typos.
