Now I have to respond to your statements.
I agree ( some ) chippers might make up a story to comfirm a chip, but why would they do this for a chip that is so common you can find it in dealer's junk boxes for $1.00 ? I received a set of chips from one of our club members about 10 years ago. They were from the Montebello, Ca. Elks lodge, and all stamped with the number except the chip in question. He said he got them in play at the lodge. I still have no reason to doubt his word. I began my post " I was told ". I never said it was fact or comfirmed, just passing on information. As you said " IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE RIGHT ". These chips could have been used many different places. The more I look at it, I think it is a palm tree with droopy fronds. I think you had it made.
