I have sold 100's of lots on eBay. Today I tried to log onto eBay to sell lots and I got a screen that ask me for my credit card number to pay my fees and they would not let me go any further.
Now I must admit I owed them $62 and change but most of that was from very recent sales. Thinking they may have blocked my access to the Sell page because of this bill, I went into PayPal and paid the $62. I still can't get onto the sell pages of eBay because they still ask for my credit card. PayPal has my credit card numbers. Since eBay and PayPal are all the same now why is this happening?
Should I go ahead and list my credit card with eBay or is this a scam? If it is a scam it is a darn good one because it is linked right into the eBay pages. eBay says they want the credit card number so they can charge my card for fees. I thought they automatically took those fees out of my PayPal account just like PayPal does? I must admit that some of the $62 was probably past due. But, like I said I thought they automatically deducted it from your PayPal account.
Should I give eBay this information or is this a spoof? Has anyone had this happen to them? Has anyone got eBays phone number so I can verify this?
Any ideas/information would be most helpful.
