I never saw them. The pictures of the chips still look similar. What is the material? Catalin is a type of plastic and looks slick (not granular) inside. It should be difficult to put a hot nail through it (hold chip and nail with two pair of pliers at gas range), and it should not hold a flame well, and if common plastic (not catalin) it should melt readily when "light." I'd experiment on one -- break it, burn it, put hot nail through it. ... ... ....You can look here (confusing):
