If a collector causes an employee to lose his job, it can be devestating. Word gets around to other casinos. It is quite possible, he will have a hard time getting another job.

Collectors do not realize what happens after they leave the casino with their prizes. Like you said, dice disappearing can be a big offence. A roulette chip or 2 disappearing is not a big deal. When I read about 2 and 3 stacks of roulettes disappearing I cringe. Dealers and pit bosses both, have lost their jobs for lesser reasons. A pit boss's job is to WATCH. If he does not see what happens, he is either lax in his job or in cahoots with the culprits, in the casino's way of thinking.
