I got the same check at my business the other day. The manager called me and said he had a check for me from some computer outfit for $3.50. I assumed it was a rebate of some sort and told him to cash it for me. Before we made the deposit that night I got a look at the check and saw what it was. I agree. Ripoff!! Reminds me of the solicitations we get on occasion to advertise in some obscure "yellow pages" directory. The things look just like a bill.

On occasion, when one of those ripoff companies sends me a business reply envelope, I have been known to fill a large box full of sand, tape the business reply envelope to the box, and send it to them on their nickel. <G>
