OK.. I've confirmed it. They've all lost their minds.
I was convinced that I could snag a decently configured laptop off ebay for well under $400. I was wrong. They just keep getting sniped up to $500. So what's the problem with that?
Dell currently has a brand spanking new Inspiron with more features, free 2 day shipping, free wireless card, free printer, and a full warranty for $599.
I'm not even a big Dell fan but given the inherent problems with buying electronic devices on ebay, I am just at a loss trying to figure out what these folks are doing.
I'm buying the Dell. With the American Express business discount, my final invoice will be $591 including tax. I just don't see beating that.
(BTW, I need the wireless laptop so that this "hobby" doesn't continue to keep me tied to my desk. If I keep telling me wife "I can't right now, I have a chip auction ending" it could soon be the end of me).
