I don't have an answer to that question. I asked the same thing last year when I took over as Chairman and got a variety of answers. Basically everyone said "that's the way we have always done". I agree the dates probably should reflect the opening reception, that's why I always mention the reception in my posts.

It's an idea we should probably explore for the future.
