I bought and tried " my collection explorer, and it's is B A D ! I found it confusing, and combersome.
I can understand your feeling for the price of 50.00 for a database, but then again....how much is it worth for thousands of high quality scans?
The Casino Chip Collectors Plus database is the most versitle around. If you don't like particular fields..poof, you can remove them. You can add them...move them. It's done in a tab format so navigating is really easy. I personally bought three different chip collectors databases and i hated them all. The only one other then this I heard is acceptable is Checkmate. It isn't as versitle, but it's usable. I absolutely hated the report section. you can't control what's there. You are completely stuck with what they think you should have.
When it comes to your collection, there's a time to be penny pinching, and a time to buy the best. In my humble opinion, this is not a time to be penny wise and dollar foolish. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Don't buy one after another of the databases that are substandard.
Buy the one that is 100 percent cutomizable. The support is here with this program. Anyone that has called in for support can tell you that Tom will help you through anything.
Am I bias? Of course I am. But then again, when you have a product this good, it's easy to be.
I do wish the price was still at $39.95. But even at $49.95, it's worth every penny.
And after hundreds of hours involved in making the quality scans....I would have gladly paid someone 50.00 to do them for me! Right now, there's almost 2,000 high quality scans, done at 316 x 316 @200 dpi all for free! And there are another 1,500 scans on the way.
