No real reason except for performance. I spend a lot of time trying to make the board respond quickly and the addition of the IP address adds just that much more data to the index file which must be read each time a message is clicked and must be rewritten each time a message is posted.

So far I haven't noticed any degradation due to the change so I guess we will just keep it active and see what happens.
