To make the fine detail like the concentric circles show up, you need a larger image, David. I scanned at 150 dpi which gives about double size on the monitor. Then I reduced it a bit to fit all four chips on a page. I also 'sharpened' once with an editor program. You should be able to do the same with your scanner if you have a picture editor program.
