I just dicovered that you guys were discussing me. :-)
I appriciate that one person out there had the consideration to let me know this was happening.
I'll give you all my side (one time only), and you can make your own judgements.
In three cases in the last few months I have posted negative feedback. All three cases were exactly the same.
I bought multiple auction lots.
I asked the seller about combined shipping charges.
The seller refused to reduce shipping charges based on his savings from combined shipping.
I then asked the seller to ship each chip seperately. No combined shipping charges, no combined shipping.
In each case the seller charged me two or three seperate shipping charges, and shipped only one package.
I left negative feedback.
In no case did I ever renig on a bid.
In no case did I ever refuse to pay the shipping charges posted in the auction.
In the two most recent cases, the sellers charged me $6.30 for shipping while paying $1.15 in actual postage. I am aware that there is time and packaging involved, but this overcharge is still a rip-off. I consider it theft.
If these sellers are so concerned about their feedback record they should cease their userous practices.
About my "." feedback:
I resent being manipulated by ebay.
I feel that leaving feedback should be my CHOICE, not an obligation imposed on me by ebay.
If a transaction goes smoothly, no problems for buyer or seller, that is the way it is supposed to happen and no feedback is needed.
If there are problems on either side, then feedback is needed.
As long as I post POSATIVE feedback, what difference does it make if I type "." or a thousand words of praise?
