Lee Jones is the best recommendation for a beginning low limit hold 'em player, but you should also read Lou Krieger's Hold 'Em Excellence and More Hold 'Em Excellence. If you want to learn about several games, Poker for Dummies is a pretty decent book. When you have these down and more experience, move on to Sklansky, but realize that most of it won't apply to the players you find at home games and low limits. When it does, though, it's worth its weight in gold! Buy Brunson when you are ready to play no limit against better players.
Most of all, have fun.
