Gene, the $1, $2.50 and $5 have exactly the same logo. My guess is, it's not a matter of the cost of the chip, so much as the bother. These people have a casino to run and complex regulations to abide by. Many are inexperienced. They feel like they are on double secret probation. The 25¢ chip was available on only one table and was very popular with the chippers and souvenier hunters because it was cheap. Too much hassle. Interferes with the game. Get rid of it. Same with baccarats. The minute something not absolutely necessary to the primary business creates confusion and hassle, it is eliminated.
