Hi Doug, Not only is your £1 chip interesting, it
brings up a question to Playboy collectors as to why
this chip was still used in '81, when we know that
Playboy purchased plastic chips from Huxley after
obtaining the VSC in '79 (license approved
early-1981). Besides VSC and the London Playboy
Club, Playboy also purchased the Clermont Club in
'72 (chips are unknown). Would you remember when in
'81 you were there. My reason for asking is because
Playboy terminated their UK operations in '82, and
being we only know of a few 5p (plastic) chips and
some 25p Scroll mold (ABP) chips, there just might
be a possibility that the Huxley material was never
put in play. Unless, that is, you recall a 5p
plastic chip reading Playboy Victoria Casino without
the VSC logo.
